WHY JOIN THIS GROUP?

Advising a group of teens is challenging. But you don't need to go it alone! Join this group and ask your fellow Adult Advisors questions, get support, and share your experiences and expertise with others.

You might also consider starting a separate group for your project team. It can help you communicate with one another; share information, photos, and videos about your project; vote on team related issues; and a whole lot more!

Ys we do Allsion.
We , ( GreenLifestyles.org) are organizing a Day of Green Beauty MakeOver with 2 green slaons in Beverly Hills, California for Thursday 3rd March 2011.
We are appalled at the very toxic (brutally tested on animals) skin care, hair care and cosmetics that are so popular and widespread. We are launching our new website in 2011( www.greenlifestyles.org) to offer education and a rating system about the fashion and beauty industry and welcome participation from all teens!
The salons are SHADES a Natural Hair Care salon ( who uses organic dried flowers for hair dye) and Evolue specializing in organic, freshly made facials & skin care and non toxic make up. We wish to spread the word about the toxicity and downright harmful "beauty" practices and give information as to alternatives. Anyone who wishes to join us please contact us: 310-854-2078 or dorit@greenlifestyles.org .
Thanks

Hi,
We are planning to initiate the Zero Waste Project in our town. Is there anybody from your country who can help us to realize this dream of ours? We are just girl scouts with big dreams.

Hi Sara,
There will not be any workshops in the foreseeable future. As you know, the grant money ran out. Hope you are well.
Warm regards.

as far as having local groups, at least, work together my job is having half a dozen volunteer days this spring. should i post them on the home page?
Marilyn Brennan Comment by Marilyn Brennan on March 23, 2009 at 8:39pm
We should move that last discussion up to the "discussion board"!

Are you part of the board or committee? If you are, it would be really beneficial to suggest that community youth have a voice on the committees, boards, etc. There are, I'm sure, many teens who would love to have a say on environmental issues in their community. They can bring fresh ideas and energy.

I would like to see more unity among the local groups instead of everyone doing something different. Our new mayor is forming a committee for environmental affairs and having various groups participate as a board.

that is very understandable. hopefully by next year things will be a little better. i like the idea of the groups working together a little bit and getting to know each other.
