SUMMARY:Project Frogwatch
DESCRIPTION:Queens Zoo and the Bronx Zoo Herpetology departments are s
eeking volunteers to participate in a citizen science project to surve
y frog populations in the greater New York Metropolitan area.  FrogWa
tch-USA is a nationwide effort to assess frog populations through volu
nteers trained to distinguish local frog calls, and monitor selected w
etland areas. Volunteer schedules are very flexible and the training a
nd monitoring efforts are not as rigorous as they are fun. If you feel
you may be interested in participating in this important frog conserv
ation effort and would like more details, please contact Scott Silver
(QZ) at ssilver@wcs.org , Valorie Titus at vtitus@wcs.org, or Drew Fos
ter at dfoster@wcs.org\n\nFor more information visit http://www.teensf
